The Yellowjackets, the Grammy-winning jazz fusion ensemble, have unveiled their 27th studio album, Fasten Up, released on February 21, 2025. This latest offering exemplifies their enduring commitment to genre-blending innovation and impeccable musicianship.
Fasten Up comprises 11 tracks, featuring 10 original compositions and a vibrant rendition of Ben Tucker's "Comin' Home Baby." A standout piece, "The Lion," showcases the vocal talents of Raul Midón, adding a distinctive flair to the album.
The current lineup—Russell Ferrante (keyboards), Bob Mintzer (saxophone), Dane Alderson (bass), and Will Kennedy (drums)—continues to push musical boundaries, delivering a fresh yet timeless listening experience.
